Where is your studio located?

I'm a location photographer so sessions take place either at your home or at a location of your choice. I can travel up to 30 miles but travel charges do apply.

 

How do I pay?

We will discuss details of your session, select dates and I will then forward you an invoice for the session fee. A non-refundable retainer (deposit) is due to secure your session. Payment can be made via Paypal, credit/debit card or bank transfer. Payment plans are also available over 2, 3 or 6 months.

Can my husband/partner/other siblings take part in a maternity or newborn session?

Absolutely! I encourage family members to participate in the photography session. Both pure and keepsake packages include family/siblings.

When is the best time to do maternity sessions?

The ideal time is between 32 and 36 weeks. During this time your bump is a great size and you should hopefully still feel pretty comfortable.

When is the best time to do a newborn session?

I love to capture natural and cosy shots of newborn babies typically before 14 days old – this is when they are still sleepy and curly and baby acne and flaky skin usually haven’t appeared. In saying that though we can still get some beautiful newborn shots up until 4/5 weeks of age.

I’ve missed the newborn age, when is the next best age to photograph?

Between 6 and 7 months. This is when we can capture lots of beautiful wide-eye shots, smiles and giggles. Between 6 to 9 months is one of my favourite ages – babies are usually sitting up by themselves and there are lots of lovely smiles, chubbiness and personality!

How long does the session last?

Newborn sessions generally last around 3 hours but can be longer. This gives time for feeds and settling etc. The session is never rushed – It’s very easy going and stress free for all involved. Other sessions usually last around 45 minutes to an hour. I only book one photo session a day so I can concentrate on you and your session.

When should I book my session?

It is highly advisable to book your session as early as possible to avoid missing out. I limit the amount of sessions per month to ensure the highest quality of service to each individual client. The best time to book a newborn session is whilst you are still pregnant to ensure your special date is reserved. A tentative date for your newborn session will be made based on your due date – if your baby arrives earlier or later than expected another suitable date will be arranged. If you have already had your baby please still contact me as I may still be able to fit you in.

What do I need to wear?

Upon booking a session, detailed information is provided to ensure that you get the very best from your photography session, including a comprehensive guide on ‘what to wear’ and what to bring along.

Yes! If you wish to purchase a gift voucher please contact me.

What if I need to reschedule?

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, so if you must change your session date please contact me at your earliest opportunity. Please note that the session fee is non-refundable but can be transferred to another date.

When will our photos be ready to view and how do we order them?

Approximately 2-3 weeks after your photo session your images will be uploaded into a private online gallery for viewing. This time may be extended to 3-4 weeks during busy periods. You will then have the chance to view your images at your leisure and select your favourite ones. Your gallery will be live for one calendar month, during this time you can select your images included in your package and order print products.
